Your journey at our aviation school begins with a 60-minute introductory lesson. You’ll head to the ramp, pre-flight the aircraft with an instructor, and take the controls of a Cessna 172 during your discovery flight for your first logged hour of pilot training.
Early in your pilot training at aviation school, you’ll visit an Aviation Medical Examiner (AME). This simple physical ensures you meet the health standards required for a pilot’s license, clearing the way for your first solo after your discovery flight.
Aviation is as much about the mind as it is the hands. Enrolling in an aviation school requires the discipline to independently navigate a ground school curriculum. Through pilot training, you master navigation, weather theory, and FAA regulations, preparing yourself for the Private Pilot Knowledge Test.
This is the milestone you’ll never forget. Under the guidance of our CFII's, you’ll build the skills needed to take the aircraft up by yourself for the first time—marking the transition from student to aviator. This moment is a significant step in your pilot training journey.
After completing your required
cross-country flights and night operations, you’ll undergo an oral and practical exam with an FAA Examiner. Upon successful completion of your pilot training, you’ll earn your Private Pilot Certificate — a lifelong credential valid anywhere in the world.
